"Rabbi Cohn was such a blessing to our family. We started working with Rabbi Cohn in preparation for our son Cooper’s Bar Mitzvah. She was so professional, and yet went out of her way to make it fun for Cooper, and enjoyable for the whole family. We highly recommend Rabbi Cohn for your children or any life events or just to talk to. She’s a wonderful human being."

Rabbi Lauren worked with both my boys (who have learning differences) for their Bar Mitzvahs. She tailored their experiences to what would work best for them not attempting to make them fit into a mold. They had different services that were meaningful and purposeful to them. Where Sunday school were negative experiences, the learning with Rabbi Lauren was joyful, and they looked forward to working with her each week. I highly recommend her with honors for being so patient, loving, and flexible. They finished their Bar Mitzvahs feeling like rock stars and the positive feelings about their accomplishments has resonated for many years after the experience is over! Forever grateful!!!"

"Rabbi Cohn was amazing to work with. She prepared both of my kids for their mitzvah. We worked with her exclusively rather than attending traditional school and my boys truly enjoyed the process. Truly never a single complaint! Rabbi Cohn is very funny and I always heard them laughing. She explained the stories of the Torah so they understood the meaning of their mitzvah. She performed our Bnai Mitzvah in the middle of COVID at our home and it was beautiful. It was truly the greatest experience and my boys learned very quickly what they needed to learn. I would recommend her without hesitation for any family need whether it be a mitzvah or other ceremony. More importantly, she made learning fun."

"Rabbi Cohn led my husband and I through several great pre-marital counseling sessions and we feel like we really got to know each other during the process. She did a fantastic job at the ceremony blending the importance of Judaism and tradition to us and our families while incorporating modern touches. I would recommend her to anyone."

"Rabbi Lauren prepared both of my sons for their recent b'nai mitzvah and officiated the service. After our 2020 trip to Israel was canceled, we decided to put our older son's mitzvah on pause to give him extra time to prepare, and we ended up having both kids have their mitzvah together, although they are different ages. Rabbi Lauren was very accommodating. She taught my children with learning differences to not only learn but also understand their torah portions. She taught them their portions, blessings, other parts of the service, and helped them write meaningful d'var torah speeches. I highly recommend Rabbi Lauren to all families, but especially to families with kids who struggle with reading or school in general. She is kind, creative, and endlessly patient. She will figure out a way for your kid to succeed, no matter what the obstacles are!"

"We are so thankful to have been introduced to Rabbi Lauren Cohn. She officiated my son, Hill's Bar Mitzvah, and the experience in its entirety- from the very start to finish-was absolutely exceptional. She made the tutoring process less a chore and so much more of an adventure. Rabbi Lauren spent one on one time with Hill every week for multiple months, and they established a friendship that will go far beyond his Bar Mitzvah. Hill has taken away such valuable life lessons from his studies and time with Rabbi Lauren and we are all forever grateful!"

"We feel so fortunate our son worked with Rabbi Lauren for three years, and that he forged a connection with her as he grew in his Jewish learning and identity. She supported his sense of humor and his curiosity. The entire process reflected his personality, and Rabbi Lauren helped him to be his best self. The authentic connection he made with Rabbi Lauren as a teacher, mentor, and friend is special and rare. For that, we feel lucky. Rabbi Lauren engaged study and preparation for the bar mitzvah as an opportunity to explore the traditions, philosophies, and practices of Judaism. With Rabbi Lauren our son discussed and analyzed the Torah as well as components of Judaism, social justice, and the links between humanity, equality, and kindness. Rabbi Lauren modeled how to ask questions, explore ideas, and embrace interpretation. This approach is one of the many gifts of our son's bar mitzvah. As to the bar mitzvah service and weekend: we LOVED it. Our Jewish and non-Jewish family members thought the service was excellent. Everyone felt very present and involved, even those who just listened. In the months beforehand, Rabbi Lauren provided lots of logistic support, big and little details, including the wording for invitations.
We feel confident our son will continue to develop as a person grounded in ethics, building on his foundational experiences with Rabbi Lauren. She has shaped him in ways for which we will be forever grateful."

"Rabbi Cohn just did a memorial service for my husband who died much too soon. She is wise, warm and so schooled in Judaism. She made a great effort to learn about him and she conveyed a heartfelt picture of his life. If you have need of a Rabbi, I couldn’t not recommend her more."

"I am trying to find the words as I am still processing it all.  Saturday was simply put - perfect.  Your leadership helped my son truly shine at his ceremony.  I was blown away by his poise and confidence in leading that service.  He seems to talk a big game that he “doesn’t know anything” but I’ve come to see that is just his defense mechanism as he truly stood up there and owned it.  He even gave himself props that he didn’t mess up once.  My friends and family were blown away with his accomplishment.

Your demeanor in leading our service for our mostly non-Jewish congregation was perfect.  You were warm and casual, and that is just what we wanted.  Spilling the wine was the cherry on top!  Your comment that Jackson was not just a great kid but the “greatest you have ever met” may be a bit of a stretch, but brought tears to my eyes, and a memory that will be forever engrained.  I have also received so many compliments about how comfortable you made everyone.  It was exactly as we envisioned."

"Rabbi Lauren S. Cohn, RJE was everything we hoped for an more! Her pre-marital counseling was immensely helpful in addressing both our long and short term needs. We also connected during these sessions in a way that our made Ketubah signing and marriage ceremony more personal. Lastly she made non-Jewish family feel involved and welcomed. We felt that Rabbi Lauren truly cared for us and can't imagine our wedding day without her."

"Rabbi Lauren S. Cohn, RJE was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process of our wedding ceremony. Since we were having an interfaith wedding, she was very open to meeting both our needs and ensuring that we were comfortable with the selection of the prayers included. She also did a great job explaining and translating things for our non-Jewish guests. Her closing words were probably our favorite part of the ceremony, as she happened to choose the Lauryn's favorite poem, "I Carry Your Heart" by e.e. cummings, which also happned to be inscried on our ketubah. Her words were meaningful, sincere, and on point. We would highly recommend her for any ceremony whether it be Jewish or interfaith."

"Before choosing Rabbi Lauren S. Cohn, RJE, we had met with several Rabbis; however, after our first meeting with her, we were impressed and enthusiastic about her officiating at our wedding. Originating from a Catholic background, Jeffrey was inquisitive about having a Jewish wedding. We decided on a Jewish ceremony, but wanted to be certain that Jeffrey's family was included in the rituals. Rabbi Lauren was very open and met with our mothers to make sure they had an understanding of the traditions and werecomfortable with the ceremony. Over several months, we met with Rabbi Lauren for pre-marital counseling and were able to learn more about ourselves her and ourselves. She took incredible effort to understand us as a couple and worked with us to make our ceremony exactly as we imagined. She incorporated the traditions we sought and made our ceremony very personable. We feel a personal connection with Rabbi Lauren and hope for her to be a part of our lives and future family celebrations."

"We are not originally from Atlanta and wanted to find a rabbi in the city to officiate the wedding. Nick was a little nervous when searching for a rabbi, since he isn't Jewish and does not have much experience working with rabbis. We spoke with a few and instantly connected to Rabbi Lauren. She embraced us both and put us at ease with the wedding ceremony details and traditions. She aims to make everything inclusive as possible for both families, which we appreciate. Rabbi Lauren is very experienced and is able to relate to us both. We love pre-marital counseling; we were hesitant at first but look to forward to each session and really enjoy how personalized she makes each session based on our goals and needs. We are so lucky to have her in our lives!"
